Little Big Noise is the folk/punk solo project of singer-songwriter Nick Torry. Born and bred in South East London, he started his musical escapades in the New Cross punk and hardcore scene, playing guitar in melodic hardcore band Junior Asthma Club and drums in ska/punk outfit Colonel Mustard.
After moving to Manchester in 2005 he went solo-acoustic, opting for more folky melodies and lyricism, but the energy, passion and politics of his formative genres remained. Sometimes with a backing band, he played prestigious venues such as Retro Bar, Dry Bar and Club Academy, as well as Mad Ferret Festival (later to become Parklife) in Platt Fields Park in it's second year.
He is now settled long-term back in London, regularly performing slots at acoustic nights around the city as well as opening for the occasional punk band. He has sets to suit either event. In particular you will find him playing the local bars/venues of his native New Cross/Deptford district. He has just self-released his second full length album "The Only Way is Chaos," which he will be promoting throughout 2015.
